May include mix of analog and digital design working with microcontrollers, sensors, and associated firmware and software. This position works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrimary duties initially will be supporting Sr. Engineers in running tests and gathering data to inform design decisions.Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Devises new approaches to problems encountered as appropriateSelects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. May also review vendor capability to support development. Other duties may be assigned as required.Education and Experience RequirementsRequires a BS EE or similar degree with applicable experience. 0 -4 years applicable experience.Skills and AbilitiesAbility to design systems that include mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software integration with support from interdisciplinary team. Ability write code with the expectation to build skills to keep current with industry trends. Fundamental understanding of electrical and physics disciplines. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, business considerations, and local market conditions, as well as candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, and skills.
